That's 2 votes for this cam now, I'll look into it with a 112lsa .

that is my old truck that Zippy posted and my new 06 has 34 inch tires now and I have a tt3000 stall with 456 gears and like mike stated I spin 6400 all day long, I run sand and some mud. In the sand you want wheel speed and u dont get that at 1500 rpm, all 4 wheeling is about wheel speed imo, mud, sand. I would say somthin with a low LSA and a decent amount of duration, around 218 or so? Maybe a TR220? I have owned nothing but lifted trucks my whole life and love rpm. BTW, that blue truck was solid axled right after those pics.

Who said you cant turn a 6.0 over 5500?
Check out all 6k of the 6.0 in the link.

I don't know what you're looking for beyond the suggestions that you've gotten thus far. However, I can tell you that my cam is excellent from off idle through about 4,800 RPMs. A great cam for a very heavy truck (6,700 pounds) that occasionally tows a heavy trailer (8,600 pounds).

I would shy away from the Rhodes lifters for a Gen III. Unless you have an adjustable valvetrain they won't work. I know this from first hand experience.

Hey guys, I just read this thread and have a few questions. I am about to drop a 04 LQ4 with a 4L80E into my jeep wrangler rockcrawler/daily driver and was wanting to know a few things:

1. Besides a tune, what could I do to get some more HP w/o doing heads, I was thinking a cam, but dont know which one?
I will be running 40-42" tires with 5.29 gears and wont see hi revs, I will need most of my power in the lower rpm ranges for crawling....

Thats the one Inchup has.. it should help you out. also you know first gear is alot taller in the 80E..

If you could do some headers in your Jeep, that would help.
A tune will help you out a Ton!!

Also been reading and found where someone mentioned a 01 LS6 cam...What would be the good and the bad of using that instead of the XR259?
