6.0 block/head questions

Found a 6.0 block, determined its an '03 with the "F133" stamped on the passenger side pad. Does the number on the drivers side pad mean anything "G02"?
It comes with 2 sets of heads and 2 intakes, one is supposed to be a lower rise intake. Not sure if I got the right numbers on these but one pair is "F203" and the other pair "A190" (the 190's are supposed to be rebuilt).
Are those just casting dates like the block or can they be id'd?

I don't know yet if this is an LQ4 or LQ9 yet. If its an LQ9 doesn't it have LS2 internals already by this model year? And the LQ4's got the LS2 internals by 2005 for sure?

Also, the heads are suppose to be off this motor - is there anything I should be looking for, not sure how to tell if all the rings/compression would be ok. The motor is in someone's garage.

the heads will have the casting number 317. it will be on a corner where the valve cover will bolt down, sort of

LQ4= dished piston
LQ9= flat top pistons

what about checking the short blocks health, any tips?

Also can anyone confirm if its an LQ9 it could be have LS2 internals?

thanks!

The LQ9 has the beefier rods that are now used in the LS2's. As for checking the health of the engine, turn it over by hand and make sure it rotates smoothly, look for sludge, scoring on the cylinder walls, peek at the cam bearings, and maybe take a look at the rod bearings. On a different style motor I'd recommend checking the mains also, but I believe that the main caps use torque to yield bolts (not sure if all 6 or just the side bolts), and that could get pricey I suppose...
