Default 5.3l daily driver cam suggestion

year - 1999
model - silverado
make - chevy ofc
eng - 5.3l v8
trans - stock 4spd auto
trim - 1500

mods
volant cai w/ scoop
magnaflow exhaust
lpp long tubes
blackbear tune
low temp t-stat
msd 6a

just need something to increase the power of my daily driver w/ out having to sacrifice too much fuel mileage.
willing to upgrade my torque converter if necessary, but not sure which stall is suited for a daily driver.
i was looking at the tr 220/220-112 but id like opinions before i do anything.

tr220 is a proven off the shelf cam for the 5.3l. cant go wrong with it. you will want about a 3000 stall tho imo. i would personally do a 114lsa for an automatic dd. i dd the cam and stall in my sig fyi no issues at all

since the idle is rougher in the 112lsa vs. the 114 lsa, it makes a difference on drivability with a DD? how do you like the 224?
