408 for noobs.
Currently rocking a 5.3 with a 226/226 0.598/0.598 LSA 111 cam, GenX 205 Heads from Trick Flow, TBSS intake manifold, and flat top pistons out of a 4.8. Thing is it's a 6,000+ pound suburban. Need more power and the 5.3 aint cutting it. Bought a LQ4. Want to make a 408 out of it using the assembly kit from Eagle. I think the 205 heads I have on the 5.3 should flow as much at the 317 heads but shoot the compression to the moon. Maybe 11:1? Gonna reuse the TBSS intake manifold. Starting a pile of parts. Engine wont go into the truck till next spring. Have a lot of road trips coming up this fall and winter. Need some tips. Like a comparable cam.

what do you want to do with the burban? race it, daily it, spin tires?
those heads with that cam will create a lot of torque down low. |

you can defanitly step up the cam with the added cubes, bump the compression up and it will be a torque monster.
my setup now has tons of low end torque. so much that I am changing heads and cam to lose some bottom end. but with your tighter lsa yours will pull even better then my setup down low |
