208/230 cam

How do you think this cam will perform in a LQ4, L92 heads, L76 intake:
208/230 .554/.546. Its actually a forced induction cam, but the price was right. I'm was originally looking AT 218/230 .580 custom grind. This will be a frequent driver. Thoughts?:hmmm:

What is the LSA?

I wouldn't put in a cam you don't really want just because you can get it cheaper. Save the money and get what you want.

Yikes, I looked up the cl, 121!

I agree. I had an LT1 in the past that I bought a cam for that was cheap, spent the time and $$$ putting it in and ran the car, was not happy. Spent the money on the right cam and then spent more $$$ to put it in and was finally happy. Don't buy a cam for cheap unless it is the right one, trust me. I learned the hard way. :)

IMHO, I'd just save up your money & get a custom cam ground specifically for your set-up. You're already on the right track w/ a 6.0L & l92 heads. With the right cam & a good tune your truck is just going to flat out haul.

Edit: give Richard at WCCH a call. He can spec a cam for you & knows the L92 heads pretty well. Ed Curtis at Flowtech Induction is good, too.

That cam has a major exhaust bias, definitely a FI cam. I'd save up the money and get either a proven NA cam or something custom ground to your specs of choice.

Is this the same cam u told me you had for sale

5150.4.67 Aug 13, 2009 11:03 PM

Yes indeed. And it's still for sale. Let me know. It's just not going to work with NA motor.

It does. I had also heard that the L92 heads liked quicker valve events on the intake side even with NA. I acquired the cam in a package deal with FI in mind, but changed my mind(again!). Thought it might still work. Looks like I need to call WCCH. Heard nothing but good things.
