Hell yea man! Good work... not sure how much ACTUAL wrench time i had when i did mine but took me w2 days cuz i was chasing a 3yr old during the install... lol i also added the blower too during that... but ur right on these new trucks take alot of work just for a cam swap...lol


Edit: almost forgot, im doin one next weekend on skoal bandits 08 5.3... full dod delete and pat g cam...

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is a "D.O.D." as in D.O.D. delete?

D.O.D is displacement on demant.
Its the new feature GM has to save on gas. Basically collapses the lifters on four cylinders and shuts the fuel off to them in return netting better economy.

But 14hrs wow!!
This is one of the main reason keeping me from doing a cam. Theres just so much involved.

my only motivation was getting the money for my heads!!! I want them bad, so i did what it took to get the money!!

How many NNBS cam swaps have you done or was it the first?

doing my swap this weekend if parts get here on time. im nbs tho. im not pulling heads either. how did it idle when you were done?

idled good. it is a small cam, 212/218 114lsa. These nnbs 5.3 run good, and that cam woke it up.
