I want to swap my LM7 out for an L92.
2003 Silverado 1500 ecsb, LM7, 4L60, 4WD, 4 inch lift, 4.88 gears, 35" tires, long tube headers, no cats, DD, towing 6000lb camp trailer on weekends.
I have a fresh set of stock unmilled 799 heads and would like to run those on the L92. Retain truck intake. Any input on this combo? Any suggestions for camshaft? Torque conerter? Planning for a 93 octane tune. Will upgrade springs according, can check pushrod length for P to V clearance, plan on VVT delete. Want to use stock computer with LPE 58x to 24x box. Not trying to build a race truck. Some help on the gen 3 to gen 4 swap is appreciated as well. Thanks

Knock sensor harness needs to be modified to the knock sensors being mounted on the side of the block instead of below the intake, everything else should be bolt in... for what youre trying to do, or what it sounds like you are trying to do, any of the truck cams would probably do well, most cam buidlers have some veesion of a truck cam its all in what you really want.... i had a comp cams xr275hr in my silverado and it was actually not a bad cam and was puting 345hp/tq to the wheels!
