my old cam the tq came on really quick, even with the tiny 4.8. It pulled all the way to 6600 and i shifted at 7k. it was perfectly matched for the 3600 TC i used ot have...

Given your setup, meaning the intake and heads and lack of gearing. I would go with a 220 .581 @ 110+4 or 108+2....

My new cam in the ls1 is on a 110+4, it helps get heavy trucks off the line and bring the power in quicker.

What exactly does the advance do? Move the power band up or down? I think that the 220 .581 would feel great with a 100-150 shot

Exactly! I never even considered a 110 till i saw how early the power comes on. Plus you dont have to spin the motor to the moon

Yep for how small the duration is, it is crazy how well that cam pulls... IMO that cam just proves you don't need these 23x or 24x cams to make these trucks move... IMO it is all about power under the curve!!

The DCR would have been 9.0+...


The one my sig currently (torquey ****), next thrusday i am putting in a eps 226/230 w/ a set of ported 243s (11:1 CR ) Should be a torquey ****!!!
