Default 1.9 rockers for LSx engines now..

I just saw these, thought it was kind of interesting. You wont get the gains of a small cam, but for ease of install and 100% stock reliability they're kind of cool. 1/2 price of the total cost of a cam swap.

what do you guys think?

I'd want someone other than me to try them first. Welding and re-machining can be done if done properly. You'll need new valve springs too.

They do sell roller 1.8 so if these are roller 1.9's I'd be more ineterested then stock style 1.9's.

I know on SBC you could get 25hp by going from 1.5 stamped steel to 1.6 roller rockers, but it also depends on if you need new springs which the SBC usually did not.

If you need springs go for a cam and roller rocker to get as much out of it as possable.

To do it right you'd still have to do valve springs. I'd just do the cam instead. I'm not big on high ratio rockers.

if it was alot cheaper it might be worth it, but it is the same price of a cam... I would just swap out the cam...

Think about it. Your .563" lift cam is actually a .331" camshaft, but the extra lift is gained by the rocker arm multiplying the cam by 1.7 times. If you multiply the .331" x 1.9 you end up with a .629" camshaft with a little more duration.

yea but it would be cool to have the results of your cam then add 20 hp on top of that.
