Most dealers around here want $58K and up for a 6.2. No way I'll get one for low 40s, otherwise I'd be all over a deal like that. They're offering 12k off sticker, so a $58k loaded SLT will still go for $46k, unless they would come down a little more but I doubt it. Ideally I'd like the next truck to be under $40k. There's a black 6.2 down the road from me with 20k miles for $41,000, but not interested in a black vehicle again, and I really like the looks of the all terrain models, looks more sporty than the chromed out luxury truck like I have right now.

It's just a waiting game, preciate the videos of the 6.2s, they are badass.

I currently have the 5.3L but will be getting a new truck this summer. Dealer is going to order the one I want from the factory before production stops for the 2019 change over.

Should I get the 6.2L w/ the 8 speed? I don't really need the power, the 5.3L is enough. When I need more power, I need a 3/4 ton truck. I'm looking at it from a stand point of reliability and maintenance costs over a 7 - 10 year period..... Or known issues, etc.

Those trucks at Laura are a great deal...wish I would have known about that before I bought this F150. I gotta say I'm spoiled to my rear sliding window, upgraded stereo and a few other things, but those models are up in the high 40s with the 6.2. GM definitely charges a premium for the 6.2 upgrade!

I'm hoping to see some hefty discounts to move the 2018's before the 2019's come out. Might help offset the cost....if it is even worth it?

$42k seems like low 40s to me

what do you get for mileage? I've put about 12k miles on my truck in a tad over 2 years. Mostly a quick 5-7 minute drive to work and back. So it doesn't even get warmed up. Mileage isn't a big deal with me, but even with the 5.3 it's lower than I thought.

Building online, it adds about $2,500 for the 6.2L and 8 spd.

I would love to go back to Laura to get another GMC pickup, but I like the looks of the Silverado. I cannot stand that gap / indent on the GMC's, above the grill where the grill and hood meet, right in the center. It catches my eye every time and looks like someone got lazy. Otherwise I love that truck but that just drives me nuts. Last I looked, it was just a piece of plastic also. Unless someone found a way to hide that "feature".

I get about 400 a tank, sometimes more(-/+) 100 mpg depending on the driving, but usually I get about 400 a tank. And that gap just below the grille drives me F’n nuts!!! When water runs off the hood and you drive it flies up onto the windshield constantly. Irrates me terribly! I have been trying to come up with a way to make a removable cover to blend in with the truck
