Just put speed engineering headers and catless y pipe on my l83 and swore there was all kinds of leaks. Glad I’m not the only one. Running a venom 300 muffler and could barely hear the vengeance stage 2 cam so removed the resonator. Now it’s so obnoxiously loud/raspy I gotta find a good resonator and piping to get it out the back instead of the dump right before the axle. Hoping the piping helps as a rcsb doesn’t have much room to add more stuff.

So he updated his thread over on GM-trucks.com. He was having tuning issues but the final number on E85 are 435 rwhp. Which seems low to me for E85 cammed L86. It seems like I've seen alot of headers, E85 and tuned L86 trucks make 420 to 430 without a cam.

Still having tuning issues. I don't believe the dyno numbers as first one on a Mustang dyno which always read low and the second was on a Mainline dyno where there only a few in the country that I am aware of.
I have been very disappointed in the tuners I have went to. I have thousands of dollars in the tuning and I have went from only knowing a little about it to getting hands on with it and seeing for myself what everything does inside the tune. I spent just under $1000 for first tuner, $400 for the second, $1100 for the third, and have $0 so far with multiple tuners from HP Tuners site where I think I finally have it really close.
Beware of guys out there that have tuned so many cars that their ego is so large there is no way their work is the problem. I was told by the top dollar tuners that it has a cam in it and its suppose to be that way. Your converter is stock and too tight and you always have to replace the converter. The reality is they love to take your money but don't really want to work for what they are charging you for. To say I have been disappointed in some people is an understatement. I also have found some very good people along the way who really want to help and share some of their knowledge to help a guy out. To those folks I am extremely grateful.
Good luck to all who decide to go down the mod journey. It can be a frustrating and also very satisfying ride.
