The more I look at these exhausts the more I circle back to liking the stainless works and take back what I originally said now lol. It's true what you said, you're getting more for the money being there's double the material and becomes a true dual setup once you go to headers. And I'm a big fan of having a lot of exhaust on a car. A lot as in most flow possible. I've had some great gains from exhaust on a couple of cars. I had a bolt on only camaro that pulled many cammed cars. Theirs usually had single 3" and I had true dual 3" with an x pipe. My current truck has picked up a ton from exhaust changes.

Speed engineering posted that they saw a 30 hp gain on a cammed 6.0 going from single 3" to dual 3" using their kit. I know it may not be your thing but their dual setup is I think right around 500. The tips don't look great though.

Pretty sure im gonna go Stainless Works. Just gonna get some 90s so the exits go behind the rear tires. I will say the prices on this stuff have gone kind of nuts. Im pretty sure back in 2003 I did long tubes and a gibson exhaust on my silverado for like 600 bux. Now its 3 grand. My 04 8.1 had shortys for I think less than 400 and built 3 inch duals with dual spin tech mufflers for about 500. Stuff is crazy

The only thing I don't like about the SW system is that they aren't traditional long tubes... Other than that the system is incredible looking. Just my .02 tho

I hear ya, but even Kooks and ARH are the same way. Idk if it’s packaging or what, they are all badazz though

They do have the before the rear tire 90 degree exit that I personally think is really sweet, did you look at that option? I think they also had a rear side exit behind the tire.

You can get excellent long tubes from speed engineering for $300. I have them and LOVE them. They are FANTASTIC. Texas speeds are really nice as well for 550 for 1-7/8 headers and 400 for 1-3/4. The SE are 1-7/8 and that's what I have.. You can get or build a cat back for 150-500. I think the issue is what you're looking at using this time vs back then

The Kooks, ARH, and SW are more like a 3/4 length than what I would call a full long tube. I look at the Speed Engineering headers and would call that a true long tube.

Okay now I get it.

Those are kind of odd looking. My SE headers look "longer" than those. Mine also have merge spikes and excellent welds and no slag. I'm really impressed with them for the price.

I took a boat load of pics and videos last January I really need to upload them but it takes for freaking ever to do it all, may be the way I do it I don't know. I'll do some uploading here in a minute and share

There's been a lot of testing showing that shorties are pointless, and don't gain much of anything. I wonder if that (what I agree is a 3/4 length) 3/4 is a hindrance compared to the full length

If I did it all over the only thing I would change is making sure I had flanges put on my headers for the connection to the Y pipe. Slip fit connections suck *** when trying to seal them. I got it done, it took an interesting mix of aluminum foil and big ol cheap band clamps from Oreillys

I for one would definitely be interested in seeing all of that! Really looking forward to getting my SE headers. Friend of mine has a set on his 08, I checked them out just kinda briefly through the hood and the flanges and primary pipes all looked really nice. Pretty much anything is gonna be better than the used, rusted, **** box Pace Setter's I had on my 99.
