Sub'd...I wanna know what y'all find...I got a brand new 2015 Denali sitting in the garage that has this same problem and they are saying tires...the dealer replaced three that were "out of spec" but still same problem. The wobble that you spoke of is the first I've read about and may be on to something...

I have replaced several complete rear axle assemblies at the dealer. They are saying it is due to the ring and pinion. Now, what they do with yours is questionable due to the mods.

I have ran in to it on older Rears. The clutches slip and then grab. I will do some research for you and see what I can come up with.

Thumbs down SAME issues here..

too.
"We messed with it again today and the rear sounds like ****. It has a howl and slight growling sound when you get on and off the gas."

My 14 1/2 ton, LTZ, started the howl bs, as soon as I drove it home.
The moron "tech" says it's tires. I asked him why it stops when I decel. I got the deer in the headlite stare. This starts at about 40mph, and continues to get louder to over 60. Comes again about 68-70.
I plan on lowering, adding some other items. NOT until they fix the rear issue.
Truck has just had it's first oil change.
I go to the dlr, and immediately tells me they are busy, and to have a seat in the lounge.. {A projected 4+ hr wait.} Told me to call for an appt. Said they would not allow a courtesy/loaner until AFTER they id'd the problem, got the parts in, and were ready to do the repairs. 3- 50 mi rt's for me.
NOT 1 customer in the service area, 3 techs bullshitting at the writer's desk.

These clowns are going to phuk around and end up talking to corporate.
A $40K noise maker, is not what I am going to live with....

The dlr is Ginn, in Covington, GA.

Took it to another dlr..Another mistake??
They didn't ride w/ me, just listened to my description.
3 days later, a rebuilt rearend...
Not 5 miles from the dlr...Singin' a song! Now, it's whining on the drive side, and growling on the coast..WTF!

Call them up...Bring it in, and we'll take a ride w/ the tech that did the r&r.
Next, they "think" they may have to replace the entire rear end.

Wondering what I'd get on a trade for a 1981 Toyota??

Service writers usually know just a tick above how to **** up tying they're shoes. Hence they always **** up your work order.

You need to have a conversation with the service manager. They're job is to keep you coming back to the dealership so they can make money off your warranty claims.

Explain to him that the internet is littered with this same complaint. and most are fixed by doing"BLAH".

The service manager has a lot of power. S/He can get you a lot of things...including a courtesy car.

Thumbs down For sure..

"Service writers usually know just a tick above how to **** up tying they're shoes. Hence they always **** up your work order."

I spent a portion of my working career as a Chevrolet service rep, in the midwest zone. Some phucked up dealers, for sure. But, nothing like the current bunch.
When we dealt w/ this shyt, we determined it needed fixing, told the dlr to "do it", wrote a 740 authorization. Done deal.

The sm there, is a nonentity. I asked for him/her to ride w/ me.. No dice. Back to the "make an appt" bullshyt.
I'm going to call 1 more time. Then, the next call is to the hotline. [Ya, I know, about as worthless as the service writer.]

This shyt is not new, by any stretch of the imagination. SAME nonsense w/ my new, 95 Suburban. That dlr SM came really close to the worst *** whipping he'd ever had.
