thanks. I'm going to take it back out, weld the joint and paint it with header paint. I'm trying to avoid letting salt get on this truck at all, so hopefully it will last.

I've been thinking about a catch can.
I didn't get a drop pic yet because the weather has been nasty so the Truck hasn't left the garage yet except for a drive at night when I finished everything.

Since I'm happy with how the exhaust sounds after driving it around today I took it back out, welded it and sprayed it with header paint.

I still have under 300 miles on the truck. There was no oil at all in the stock intake tube. I'll probably do the can as my next mod.

Guarantee it's on the valves though.

Probably.

If it make you guys feel any better we haven't had a single Gen 5 engine issue at my dealer because of crap on the intake valves yet.

The 3.6L V6 is a different story though.

Ok...I was exaggerating a bit with the 300 mile comment. 1st pic is mine at 8900 miles with a can. I installed at 1000 miles. 2nd pic is Z06Ted on his boosted thread has this pic at 14000 miles and it's getting pretty crusty. I also run a clean side separator too.
