Default Quieting down a volant intake

Has anyone come up with a way to quiet a Volant intake down? I've had a lot of intakes in my life but none like this. I'm debating going back to stock with an air filter.

Only at certain rpms and throttle positions. It's weird as hell. Mostly it's dead quiet and then it'll start having to climb a little hill and it roars like crazy until the rpms climb and then it goes silent again.

I’m no help on quieting it down.. but if you do decide to go back stock I’ll buy your Volant. And can send you my stocker for a small discount on the Volant if you don’t have yours anymore

I'll keep that in mind. I'm not really interested in going back to stock but it's not out of the question. I may go and try and build a plenum around the openings in the front and the bottom to help.

i have heard about that Volant being super loud over on the gm-truck forums but i take their b*tching to a grain of salt since they all want to complain. I’m either going to go with a Volant or S&B in a month or so. if it crosses your mind shoot me a message and we can work something out. I truly believe these LT’s are different than LS’s with the standard stock box mod with filter. doesn’t work the same as it used to

Agreed on the GM trucks forum. I hate going over there but it gets more traffic so I can usually find my answer.

I'll try and grab a video this weekend. I got a fancy new 4k camera I want to try out.

The best way to quieten it is get rid of it and trade me for my K&N 63 series.
