Default Newest times with video of 5.3 ProCharger

Went to Milan Dragway today. It was warm 80 with a DA of 1994-1999 but I ended up running well. Got 3 passes in and all three it hooked fully stalled up.

First pass was 13.31 @ 102.52(1/4), 8.48 @ 80.66(1/8) with a 1.86 60ft. That was left in 4wd for the whole pass. 80 degrees with a DA of 1999.

Second pass was 13.22 @ 102.76(1/4), 8.41 @ 80.99(1/8) with a 1.83 60ft. That was with a 4wd launch and switching to 2wd after the launch. 80 degrees with a DA of 1994.

Final pass was 13.15 @ 103.68(1/4), 8.40 @ 81.87(1/8) with a 1.87 60ft. 4wd launch then switched to 2wd after the launch. 77 degrees with a DA of 1818.

After today I really think with some good air I can see 12's for sure. Video is of my second pass versus a GMC Typhoon that ran 13.30 @ 101. Not sure when my next trip will be to the track but I am very happy with how the truck is running.

Truck moves out for sure! Would surprise a lot of cars from a dig...why are you switching out of 4HI? Your trap speed seems pretty consistent either way so I’m not sure what you’re gaining...I don’t think the transfer case will shift out of 4HI @ WOT, most likely it’s switching to 2WD when you let off...or maybe the newer trucks are different

Thanks! Years ago back when I had my 2015 Silverado I saw several videos of guys switching out of 4wd after a launch. I was wondering why they were doing this. For the hall of it while making a pass at the track and I tried it. Now back then in my 15 with a 4.3 it took off 2 tenths and was about a mph quicker in the quarter switching out of 4wd versus leaving it in 4wd. Same with logged passes on the street. Now when I got my current truck we tested it again when it was na tune only and had the same results 2 tenths and 1 mph quicker. Now with the converter and the ProCharger I had been just leaving it in 4wd all the time for logged passes and my two previous runs at the truck. Mainly because I thought it might loose traction inn2wd during a shift. The track at Milan was proving to be great after the first pass and I though what the hell I'll switch it out and see how it runs. You could argue there is a tenth maybe tenth and a half difference. It does not seem to have the 2 tenth quicker result as it did in the past. HP Turner PID for the 4wd system does show the 4wd is disengaged almost instantly after I switch it out. How accurate that is I don't know and I have not found solid proof on those trucks of how long till they disengage after you switch it out or any I'll effects of doing this with the clutch setup in these newer transfer cases. If anyone has more info I this please please share.

Imo, your stock manifolds and cats are really holding it back now. I bet with some good flowing exhaust it’s got 106-107 MPH in it with the same weather you have now

I had an 06 with auto trac and turbo. It was faster for sure when I switched it to 2wd. On the street if I switched out of 4wd it would immediately blow the tires off at 40-50. That was my experience with a built 4l60e and a stall a little looser than yours. I understand its not the best practice for longevity at least on high hp rides. Im not worried because its not often at all and I'm not putting out much yet. I just dd it 99% of the time.

Yeah same with me I drive like an old man most of the time. I'm only really on it wot at the track or when I am working on the tune.
