New 6.2 liter exhaust differences.
#1
I am getting ready to jump and get a 14 CC gmc 6.2 4x4. Just doing a little research on exhaust. I've heard they are running 3.5" and/or 3" pipe back to muffler. is it single 3 inch out? what about this silencer I keep hearing about? I am not a fan of magnaflow sound and have had many corsa systems but even the sport is a little tame for my taste. Anyone making a bolt on system for these new trucks? I know LT's are hitting the market. Thanks for any help. Pics are always good too.

It's 3.5 all the way back to the silencer or rear cat or whatever u want to call it. Its right over the rear end and the exit pipe is 3" out and yes it's single out. My brother has a 2014 6.2 and we just looked under it a couple of days go..Btw u will love a '14 6.2! Ha

All my other trucks before I went with Lt's no cats x pipe into either custom made bassani's, blowmaster, magnaflow and corsa. So this exhaust is completely different with the size, the "valve thing" and an additional cat?silencer thing? Well that's whole lot goin on. Anyone see benefits from getting rid off all this stuff?

I think my brother is thinking about doing an electric cutout after the y-pipe to bypass the muffler and "silencer thing," I think if u want to deal with the noise that it would benefit from it because I think it's a lot of restricted airflow, but that's just my opinion.
