Default Need more fuel!

Hey guys. It’s been a while since I posted about my truck. A lot has changed and a lot has gone wrong in the last month or so. Changes are that the factory stock truck now has a Procharger D1SC kit running 8lbs and put down 456hp and 441 tq on a bone stock setup. The local tuner that I used said I was running out of fuel up top and the in tank pump was the weak link. He said the high pressure pump would need to be changed out as well if I wanted to go further with this setup. I was very happy with the results and set out on my way to start having fun with the new mods. Well 24hrs after the tune my #4 DOD intake lifter pulled an Amber Heard and sh*t the bed. So I’m in the process of doing a full DOD delete with a basic stock grind cam. My HP goals are not to break records but to have a reliable sleeper to daily drive. I plan on installing a LT4 hp pump and an walbro 450 in tank. My question is about the factory wiring for the in tank. Will the factory wiring support the new pump or will I have to run a dedicated setup? Any help would be awesome! Thanks guys!!!

I think the 450LPH is a bit overkill, something smaller in the 300's would support enough fuel flow to the HPFP.

Then just use LT4 Injectors because the stock truck injectors are tapped out.

I was not aware that it was the intank pump being the weak link. In your case it depends on what he saw when tuning. If it is then yeah gotta deal with that. For the rest you could push the hp A LOT further easily with just going to LT1 injectors because the HPFP is same as LT1. Those injectors will take you WAY over 500 with your HPFP. Past that go LT4 everything and a 38% over fuel lobe. That's the biggest with LT4 that you can go.

Thanks for the info guys! My tuner said that the in tank FP was starting to drop off and that better pressure supplying the HPFP would get me further than upgrading the HPFP first. Not sure what logs he was looking at. If I went with an Aeromotive 340 or a Walbro 400 would I need to run a dedicated power harness or would the factory wiring be able to handle the load of the larger pump? Out of curiosity what does the factory pump put out?

IDK but I would do dedicated for a big pump. A hellcat 525 takes you to 1k crank they claim. Don't need that much for sure. I'm doing Crawford triple intank 450's for mine for full E but not really sure how much is needed for yours.

If your not going to run E then a 370 or 400 will be fine.
