My heads been in the sand, f150 really
Noticing f150 4x4s crews coyotes TVS boosted 13lbs running 11.6-11.7s Really? With no headers, sure catback CAI,and tuned.DAM tell me what im missing are they secretly adding laughing gas?
Man it seems it would take a lot to get a 6.2 there.Well I should say I havent seen one done yet.Det. a member hear runs 12.4 or so whipple tuned headers.Put smaller OE tires on his and it might run 12.2?
Now if you do fuel adders and cam more boost you might get 11.9-11.8?
I am to much of a loyalist to change but again what I am missing how that little cubed engine can ET like that? They must be putting down 600-650 RWH

As someone that owns a coyote mustang and a 6.2 truck, I can say those coyote are pretty incredible engines.
They main problem with them is that their powerband is perfect for a sports car, and horrible for a truck. The 6.2 has way way more power down low but it runs out of steam up top, where as the coyote just pulls harder as you rev it out. Which means under peak acceleration they are pretty close but in everyday driving for a truck the 6.2 is much nicer.
Keep in mind the coyote is a 5.0 dohc, it can make big power and rev to the moon. As far as hp is concerned, it is pretty comparable to the 6.2. 5.0 is probably one of the best american v8's ever made for mass production strictly from a performance perspective.
I'd still rather have the 6.2 in the truck because of the gas mileage and the low end torque, but for a sports car if I was building one from scratch and both the 5.0 and the lt1 were options at the same cost, I'd rather have a 5.0.

They do run strong.
I was going back and forth with one a few years ago when I had the 1900 and cam only LQ9. I think with meth and basic mods the 6.2 would eat it for sure... those things arent going low 11's blower only I dont think. I would guess it has all the supporting mods.

Just some quick searching around says that it ran ~12 sec @ 113 at 566 hp which supposedly was just the blower and tune (7k rpm rev limit). Now it has headers plus ??? other mods and is closer to 660 hp which is how it is now running mid 11s at 119 mph. It seems like it is quick for the power, possibly due to very good 60 ft and lower weight than our trucks. Either way it is fairly impressive.

Is the f-150 running e85 with the blower? That may be the secret. Looked at coyote f150's before my Chevy and all the Ford dealers just didn't seem to care to sell a truck. Chevy did, but I would still consider one if I was in the market.

I saw this on youtube today and made me think of this thread. I know it's older but you got give it to them. Their not even pulling down to run 11.6, just headers and exhaust and a custom tune.
