lowered 4x4 need help
 

I only seen one 4x4 lowered on gmfullsize.com

Right now it's at the shop they done a 5/6 or 5/7 using mcgaughy 34170 truck has steel control arms and 305/40/22 I really like the look right now have some tire rub might have to change tires but mcgaughy recommend to bring it up to a 3/5 because it's a 4x4 can I leave the way it is now and will it cause any damage

You could leave it dropped low if you wish, but you could get axle vibrations. Thats just something to watch out for.

The 3/5 might stop the tires from rubbing so much or I'd just go down to like a 285 tire.

I personally think a 4/6 drop would be ideal.

You think 4x4 will work fine

It should still work fine.

I don't have first hand knowledge if front axle vibrations at high speeds will happen with a big drop. If the CV axles are at extreme angles then it's more likely to happen.

Maybe others will chime in.

I believe atomic has a coilover setup you might consider.

you should be fine i have an 08 reg cab 4x4 and its lowered like 4.5/7.5 inch drop..no vibrations, 4wd works perfectly fine. i know the body styles are different but its the same principal

Yeah, my '12 rcsb worked fine with 4/7 too. (belltech)

I had a little shimmy in 4-auto between 30 and 55mph and again at 80. You need to play with the pinion angle to get rid of it.

I ran 265/65/18 stock bridgstones, no rubbing or anything.

anything bigger than stock will rub in front on 4/6 drop... I run a 5/7 and changed to off road racing fenders to cover the tires....no vibrations in drivetrain and did not use the spacer on the transfer case that was provided in drop kit

Mine (2014 4X4) has been lowered for over a year and 25k miles on it, no issues what so ever. I have used 4X4 a few times due to ice on the roads and had no problems at all. From looking at your other post with the picture, mine sits about the same height as yours in the front but I'm definitely higher in the rear. I opted to not do a flip kit on this truck after doing it on my 2013 truck.
