Little drag racing issue
Guy's got a reg cab 14, bone stock the truck ran 9.36 at 94 with 3.08's, now it has 3.73's tune and ran the best of 9.44 at 94, now with than said I'm in the deep south and it's muggy as hell, and the track prep sucked like 2.0 something 60's, I've had built older trucks and such, 69 Camaro with a LS2 etc so I know a little about racing ,my tuner hasn't done a lot of these newer trucks ( but a bad *** tuner none the less) but tune feels just right on the street, I know drag radials but I thought it might spin some and run a 20, ( which it didn't blow the tires away), the major thing is the low mph and comparing it to a lot of times I see on here, any insight? THANKS! btw the shift point are set at 5900.

Yeah very muggy around Arlington. Was the previous mph in cooler weather? May be about right. Temp hurts way more than humidity actually and it just got hot finally. My 4wd ran 75 in the 1/8 stock in a bit cooler weather. I think it was not over 80.

It's probably actually a little hotter now, going to try the drag radials this weekend, then buy some headers and a cai, not going to do nothing really but bolt ons right now, I do have a nasty verter that I had in my 6.2 truck that worked great but going to hold off on it for now, may be by October it'll get better lol, THANKS!

Here are my quickest times on my 2017. Stock was 15.21@ 89.86 in the 1/4 and 9.70@ 70.46 in the 1/8. Dialed in on e85 truck really came alive for me. I have my shift points set at 6400rpm, launching it in 4wd, with 3.42 gears, and full street weight of 5500lbs with me in it. I'd recommend save your money when it comes to the CAI and just do a drop in a K&N filter and go with some headers and DRs. Try a little higher shift point around 6400rpm to see how it likes that.

Thanks for the info guys, but here's my dilemma, I have a 2011 reg cab as well that I'm dying to turbo or put a 6.2 in it, two truck payments and looking to buy a house is going to be tough, may have to sell the 14, will see lol, but going to put the radials on and try it again if the weather holds out. THANKS!

Man I would sell the 14 and do the 11. It will be so much cheaper in the long run. Buy that house!

Still pulling strong up till 6400rpm. I started at 6000 rpm and was manually shifting it at 6300 rpm. All my 6300rpm runs vs 6000 rpm runs were always quicker. That point had my tuner set my shift points in tow/haul mode to 6400 rpm and the truck even with the summer heat has been running consistent 14.10-14.20 1/4 mile times.
