Labor Day Rebate Trends?
I ordered a 2018 1500 and it arrived last week at the dealership. Basically $6,000 in rebates total. At the end of the month, $1,500 goes away. The rest "expire" September 4 (so the new promo's will be out the 5th...)
My current gamble is...buy now or wait and risk the $1,500 going away, or being extended a few more days for Labor Day...
OR - my big hope, is that GM has some great deal to pile on top of the $6,000 in current rebates "just for Labor Day". I know the 4th of July is usually pretty big, but I don't know about Labor Day?
Any of you work at a dealership and notice any trends over the years? I was honestly expecting to see more / larger rebates for the 2018s, especially since they have 2019's on the lots already.
I understand the dealership doesn't know. Small town and my dealership shows me everything. No BS, no games. First name basis, etc.
I know it's a shot in the dark to ask but it doesn't cost me anything to get some other opinions.

I don't have a for sure answer but I went and looked at a truck late last year and they had 10k in total rebates. There was an addtional 3k in there for being a costco member. Part of what deterred us from buying was I wanted to order a 6.2 truck and they said the rebates only applied to when the truck was purchased, not ordered and they couldn't tell me what the rebates would be in the up coming months. So it was a crap shoot on what I would end up paying for it. Super frustrating.
I looked in I think November and I believe the rebates are quarterly..
I know, no help at all. Just figured I'd toss in what you already know.
