Took the wife to the dealership to show her the difference between the 3/4 and 1/2 tons. She preferred the 3/4 for the additional interior room. I wouldn't mind having a 3/4 ton (gas) - I don't need it all the time, but if I need to go get a ton of wood pellets, rock, whatever - that truck will do better.
It would be mostly just a daily driver, to and from work....so my thought process is that since it's heavier duty, it would last longer (until the salt in Ohio kills it).
The problem is that the 3/4 tons probably won't have much discounts, compared to the 1/2 tons - with the new 2019's coming out - since the new design 2500's haven't really been announced yet.

For whatever reason, I was thinking the interior on the 3/4 was slightly larger. Guess not....actually a tad smaller in a few spots.
Not sure why the 3/4 felt like it was larger on the inside.

I think that's what happened. I wasn't concerned with interior space, it was the wife who said something (for car seats) and I just went with it because, approval for the larger truck...I'll take it.
However the lack of rebates and the amount of use I would need a HD will make the 2500 a hard sell to myself...I think.
