Very smart and safe to log the max rpm and decide to lower it 300 rpm. Seems like you guys really have this figured out nicely.

What exact converter did you choose?
I went with a Circle D 278mm HP 3000-3200 converter. Just picked it up from the shop. After work going to do some logs and see what it does. It actually brake stalled to 3400. I'm sure it with tighten up. When I launched it holy crap! Should have a lot of fun this spring at the track.

Man trucks in our area just want get in the 8's (South Al btw) with tune only, my reg cab with 3.73's, flowmaster, tune and drag radials has ran a best of like a 9.21 or 23 something like that, shifts points around 5800, now that was months ago in some muggy air, track just opened back so going to try it this weekend with some better air!
