Default Hit 13s in my Z71 tune only!

Took my truck to the track today and finally hit the 13s! My best two times were 14.016 @ 96.38(1/4) 8.925 @ 76.99(1/8) 1.94 60ft. and 13.967 @ 97.05(1/4) 8.915 @ 77.76(1/8) 1.96 60ft. vs the stock time of 15.219 @ 89.86(1/4) 9.703 @ 70.46(1/8) 2.13 60ft. which I think is a huge gain for a 2017 Silverado Z71 Double Cab 5.3 4x4 that weighs 5500lbs with me in it 3.42 gears, 265/65/18R wheels, Spintech 6000 muffler, K&N drop in filter, e85, and most important the Klug Performance tune. It was 47 degrees today with a DA of 865. I launched the truck in 4wd, kept it in 4wd, and manually shifted it to 6200 rpm in each gear for both passes. He thinks we can still get another tenth or two from some more changes. I am very happy with how the truck is now. Just shows what these trucks are capable of.

Thanks guys. I am very impressed with this truck. I think next I will see how far into the 13s I can get with just weight reduction. After that it will either be long tube headers, or a stall.

Any updates? I'm curious to see where you get. Not many people getting into the 13's without digging into the hard parts. I'm curious as to what weight reduction measures you have in mind as I have tried all types of stuff and like to see what others come up with. I also am going to retract a statement I made earlier in regards to how fast these trucks can go without having to do a cam or a stall converter. Call me crazy but low 13s are doable and with the right circumstances I think you might be able to creep into the 12's.

Well no major updates. After that trip to the track with the 13.96 pass I have been running 14.12-14.13 Which is still really good. Alomst seems like everything lined up just right for that 13.96 pass lol. It was 45 degrees, DA of 125, and a tail wind of 8mph lol. My other trips was 60 degrees DA of 675-1075 with a cross wind of 10-20 mph. Either way still very happy of how the truck runs from the stock 15.20

Thanks. Going to try some other tuning changes and see how the truck responds and honestly will probably just keep it full street weight. Down the road I'll put long tube headers on the truck, and possibly a Yank 3200 stall converter.

Did you ever run on 92? I'm at a 14.4@94mph with no engine tuning on 92, only transmission tuning.

I have not. That's damn good on trans only! I have a really good 93 tune in the truck now showing 5.9 0 to 60 in the data log. Hoping next weekend I can get to the track and see how close to the 13.9x I can get on 93. The track up here closes November 4th for the year.
