Do you have headers on your 014 or 015?

If so how much noise are you getting inside the cab from the headers? Reason I ask because my last truck 010 6.2 got a set of ARH and it went from dead quiet to header noise, there were no leaks, its just they were noisy headers and poor cab insulation.
I had asked about it on this forum some said they got no noise some said for sure it was noisy.

The ones that didnt hear it are the same ones that replace stock muffler with a flow master and had no drone.:dewey:

I have installed a lot of headers in my years and my 010 produced the most noise,I hope the 014+ is different.

I would guess its different, but I am interested to hear the reply's. I would love to have a CC 6.2 as a daily driver with baby mods that runs damn near 12's.

Very true, you know how to fix it? List your SUV on craigs list, sell in a week, within few days of that you will have another truck.

Thats how it works, have an itch you scratch it.:burn:

what do you mean by "header noise"?

Vortec350ss 03-31-2015 02:42 PM

its valve noise that the headers dont hide like the stock manifolds to. The thinner walled aftermarket stainless headers like ARH tend to let that noise through.

Never heard such lol... I don't notice anything different with LTs on my '14 other than the exhaust note change which is glorious!

Pretty typical....its easier to hear with a quiet muffler. Cast iron manifolds absorb a lot of the little sounds the engine makes.

Vortec350ss 03-31-2015 04:43 PM

I think that the stainless ARH 1 7/8" diameter headers tend to let a little more noise through than what people used in the past. A smaller primary thats a lesser quality steel and possibly a thicker gauge will hide a lot more of it.
