Default calling all high horsepower 8-speed guys

I want to see what you guys are running and how you drive. i know there are plenty of vettes running 900+ hp on stock trans but the trucks weight and everything.

If you guys can post what mods you have done, how much boost if any, dyno graphs if you have, and if you race/haul/tow. then we can see how these things hold up over time.

Ill add my truck to the list once the build is done.

I have seen/heard if a few broke. One on a Supercharged escalade with 6psi. One on a stock truck. Broken input shafts i believe

local guy here in Corpus has the current record hp and et for the new c7 z06 8-speed... procharged making 1100hp with a stock trans but yeah that thing vs a truck weight is quiet a bit different. I want to say he got someone to start building parts for it ill have to ask him and see who's doing it for him. He's been wanting to turn it up but restricted right now because of the trans.

hopefully companies start making stronger parts for the weak links in the trans. I'd like to push mine harder down the road but I don't know how much it can handle.

I have a FBO, e85 and tuned truck with an 8 speed. So far so good, but I have only had everything on the truck for about a week. I also tow a 10-11klbs boat a lot in the summer time. Besides having the tq convertor replaced all else has been good.

A similar truck like mine made 414 rwhp in 4th gear (6th gear is 1:1).

Does the weight even matter? I mean if its the input shafts breaking, then effectively 2nd gear in a vette would be similar load on the input shaft to 1st gear in a truck
