Just bought the L83 stage2!!!! I'm really excited to get this thing in my truck. Hopefully I'll have the heads off tonight.

**** yeah man.

Don't forget to let a machine shop carefully inspect those heads and valves, you don't want to put it all back together and have a problem still. Mainly inspect that valve that had the broken spring.

Default Cam questions

looking to do a dod delete and cam on my 15 sierra gen5 5.3 looking into tsp stage 1 or 2 curious what you guys think. I tow with this truck and it's my DD so I don't wanna lose my drivability also how's the stock torque converter handling the cam? Any insight is appreciated thanks guys

My stage2 218/226 I bought is great. Stock convert works great and I tow close to a 7000 pound wakeboat with it. I have zero low end loss. Only difference is I put it in a 6.2 but I don't think you'll need a converter with a 5.3. I'll see if I can find the video of a guy that put the stage3 in a 5.3 and it WAS lazy with the stock converter and ripped with a 3200 stall "I think it was". He did a before and after video.

If it's a daily and also used for towing I'd stay with a stage 1
