Better than OEM replacement struts

Hi all

i have a 2014 Silverado double cab with the 5.3

I have the belltech front lowering spindles (2") and the rough country flip kit in back (4"). I also have a pair of slam air bags (the truck tows A LOT)

What options are out there for struts and shocks? I see the normal replacements, ac delco, kyb, etc...

Im looking for an increase in handling/ride. Im kinda tired of the "Floaty" feel these trucks have. Being im at 103k miles its time to change them out anyways...

I dont mind throwing the thing in the corners every once in a while. Helps me not miss my Corvette as much haha

thanks

I just did Bilsteins a week ago and it firmed up the truck A LOT. They will do exactly what you're looking for. They are almost too stiff, almost. But I like a firm sure footed ride, and they are definitely that. The ride isn't bouncy, but it is very sports car like.

Look around on Amazon, I got all 4 for $358 total

And if you read the reviews people rave about them and they bitch a lot about the OEM shocks and the OEM ranchos. I thought my shocks and struts were okay, I didn't know how bad they were until I put the bilsteins on.

You'll need part numbers to search Amazon

Front PN - 24-238281
Rear PN - 24-238298

Don't forget to get shock extenders for the rear since it's dropped, the front will be cool since you used spindles.

Thanks for the info, cna you provide some info on the shock extenders? I was just planning on replacing the rears with new lowered shocks

I was gonna do the same but all the aftermarket lowering shocks I've experience sucked, they either didn't ride as good as original or went to shit real quick so I went with shock extenders.

I used Ride effex 13-6540, got them at Pep Boys for $22 and they fit great. I had to lightly drill one of them because there was a bit of weld that wouldn't let the bolt go through. Other than that they went in super simple and do the job.

If you wanna see more info or pics of what I did search my screen name and check out my lowering post it says "lower leveled the truck"
