Default 8l90 torque converter

My truck has developed the 8l90 tc shudder. Since my warranty is toast with the blower might as well upgrade right? I asked circle d and they make a 265mm that should stall stockish, but have a nice strong lockup clutch. Think I'm putting the cart before the horse if I install that tc and don't open up the trans? Does anyone know if there is enough tuning capability to compensate for that tc?

I debated that, but then I couldn't decide if I should be upfront with the blower or play dumb.

There's is no recall on converters. You can have it fixed with a 3 stage flush and filter change. They should cover it under warranty. They know they have a issue w them.

They didn't that exact procedure and knew all about it and it worked! Unfortunately it wasn't warranty work because of the blower...

Ok dumb question, how do you get them to do the flush? They are denying there is a problem with my truck

Had a tech ride along today, so he could experience the shaking. You can hear the chatter and sort of see the vibration, tach needle is jumping around.
