Edit: can you walk on the mx4? I'm 190 lbs, and the heaviest person that would step on it, if it's cool to do so.

How about fading, do they stand up to the sun well?

Thank you everyone, I will look into all of the ones mentioned, but right off the bat the mx4 looks like what I was wanting. It's a bit more than I was hoping, but quality isn't cheap.

I wouldn't walk on it myself. The max weight numbers is weight that is evenly placed on the cover, something like a stack of plywood (plywood would cost more than the cover lol). The instructions say to protect with Aerospace 303 UV Protectant. I use it after each wash and it looks sweet after the application. NAPA is the cheapest I could find for the 303 at $8 dollars for 16oz. Amazon want's $15 for the same product.

They say its rated for 400 Lbs I don't think I would walk on it or recommend doing that. Aluminum will dent.

There will be some minor fading over time. Mine sits outside. I rarely wash it but it still looks good. Its 4-5 years old now.

Awesome thanks for the additional info.

I'd love to be able to walk on it to get to the top of my cab when washing it. I stand in the bed/up on the bed rail now when I do it.

Guess I just need to lower the truck more lol

How about breaking into the bed?

These covers pretty tough to break into?

I've actually walked on mine several times but evenly distributed. A crow bar will easily break the in F1 but out of sight out of mind. All my **** has been good to date.

So far, no one has messed with mine top either. If you have locking tailgate, they probably won't.

Only 1 time I have come out and my gate was down. Could have been I didn't latch it properly. Either way I have a theft deterrent on the gate to keep it from being able to unlatch and walk off.

I can reach each half of the top on my 4/6 NBS with the wash mitt if I open the door and stretch. On taller trucks it's probably easier using a "mitt on a stick" and not having to hop up in the bed.

Amazon $20
