Default Aftermarket trailer brake controller

Just bought a car hauler and looking for clean brake controller install ideas. Would love to upgrade to the factory one but I've been told it's too much hassle to be worth it.

Same here but I mounted mine lower dash above the gas pedal. Picked mine up from Amazon.

Really more interested in custom installation ideas. I was thinking maybe mold it into the little cubby hole above headlight switch.

Installed a CURT controller in my 15 sierra these days, i really wanted to install a oem one that goes in the upper left side of the steering wheel but couldnt find someone who
had made it work, i wanted to do something different but got out of ideas after awhile and installed it the old fashion way but as far to the front as possible, looks clean IMO
BTW CURT has a nice harness wish is plug and play, very clean and easy install
