But why do people seem to like head studs more? I would think they would make it more difficult to take apart?
Studs... Higher tensile strength means higher clamp load means can handle higher power. They actually are more difficult to deal with than bolts.

And, there's just something cool about them.

Here's a cool little run down. I'm sure there's much more technical articles but I quickly grazed and this one covers the basics I would also say but didn't feel like writing a short novel lol

I do a lot of heads through Frankenstein very professional people. You can also have them do the port work and valve job for $1,150.00 if you want to save and install your own springs. They hold a few LT records too. For years there port design held the fastest 6th gen record 8.83 and 1st C7 in the 7s and fastest LT4 blower only Z06 at 9.24

If my wife lets me I'd love to do heads and cam here Denali lol

Good to know, when the time comes ill have to ask the motor builder what he'll prefer on the springs.
But the sounds of it I'll definitely need to decide if I'm going to Procharge it when i do the cam.

Now there's a new question...
I came across a ATI harmonic balancer its over $400. I have a concept of what they do but why would you add one performance wise?

Default N/a

We have a 2016 Silverado 4 Dr and are sticking n/a but we installed the texas speed level 3, did the dod, added some west coast cylinder heads, and a katech throttle body. Heads and throttle body made a good little difference. Had ran 12.4 before the heads and tb. Currently the fastest time so far has been 12.1. Havent seen dyno numbers yet but hopefully this week we’ll get to it. Will keep yall updated.
