Though if you think about it, the procharger is possibly less abusive to parts because of the drop in power on the shifts.

Besides the "Circle D 278mm 3200 Stall ", did you do anything else to the transmission? Holding up OK?

I have a 2018 5.3, 2wd and was looking to supercharge it but was curious on how the transmission would hold up. This is my first Silverado and am unfamiliar with the 6 speed autos. Thanks.

Just the converter. Seems to be good so far and trans temps are normally right around 190-195 after pulls.

Well guys more rain tomorrow. With my work schedule the next few weeks I won't really have a chance to go to the track. I have Wednesday off and I might just make a road trip to Milan Dragway for their Wednesday night test and tune. It's a bit of a drive but that is my only option other than waiting till June to get some time slips for my truck.

In CTS-V's they hold tons of power, like 1k whp ish really well and I don't know the weight of the CTS-V but I'd guess they are within about 500 of a double cab and prob within about 800 pounds of a crew cab. That's what I told myself anyway when I was worried about the 6L80..

That blows, but it's obviously rolling out pretty hard as it is.

Out of curiosity, have you done any more testing with flashing the stall? I still feel (purely opinion and from having a stall but totally different setup) that flashing it would work better. If it works out that would be nice, seems like it would be a little gentler on the stall and trans input shaft than holding it at near 4k under boost for several seconds.

At the track and on the street during logs I have tested it and stalling it up versus flashing it is 2 tenths faster. Not sure why but this truck just seems to respond a lot better with a stalled launch

Fairly certain the CTSV and ZL1 come with a 6l90e....but 6l80e should be fine up to 550+ RWHP with a good cooler...

Yeah I think you're right, would make more sense. I haven't seen any examples of real high power on the 6L80 in that case. I need to look up what's different in a 80 vs 90.
