2014 Silverado 5.3 sound funny?
I’m looking at purchasing this truck, salesmen sends me this video. The truck obviously has aftermarket exhaust and I have seen where it has a K&N intake but unsure of other mods.
I know when I put headers on my 2011 I had more valvetrain noise and I’m not sure if that’s what this is. Also not sure if this truck has headers, waiting to hear back on that.
anyway listen to the clip and as he is around the front of the truck tell me if that sounds normal

Check my sig, I call mine the reigning champ of annoying noises for good reason.
The oil pumps sound horrible on a cold start
The entire time they are running they sound like they have a pulley bearing on the way out
The vacuum pump is noisy AF, it's the loudest at the left front corner of the truck
The Direct injection components are loud (pump and injectors) even though you probably can't hear the injectors
I busted my computer speakers the other day so I can't listen to your video till tomorrow or I'd maybe be able to help further. Mine has headers too which is another set of annoying sounds. Good thing the cab is quiet and the radio gets loud. JK, mine isn't horrible, but my cars are usually the most squeak and rattle free ever. I'm a bit obsessed with noises.

Thanks for all the replies, we have a 2017 tahoe with the 5.3 that I’ve never really noticed the noise on. Thinking I might just being overly cautious since it’s a long distance purchase. I’ve got the Brother in law swinging by to look at it before committing 100%
Now I’m going to have to go listen to our Tahoe and compare😂

I've noticed cell phone mics like to pick up on that tick type sound. Video'd plenty of things that sound fine in person but playing the video back immediately after sounds terrible. Also rented a 2019 Yukon recently that was a chatty cathy with only a few thousand miles on it. I don't think I'd worry about it.
