Default 18 F150 EcoBoost+10speed = Fast!

Several weeks ago when I went to the track I met a guy with a 2018 F150 Extended Cab 4x4 3.5 EcoBoost with the 10 speed. I ran my two pass in the 12.4s. He told me his truck was running 12.4s as well and would like to run them sometime. Well yesterday he was there with his truck. His trucks mods are a tune, downpipes, cat-back, and running e50 for a total of 1500 dollars in mods. My truck has 6500 dollars in mods. We got to race once and of course I spun all four and ran a 12.76 at 108.36 and he ran a 12.26 at 111.66. My best time that day was a 12.55 at 108.71. His best time that day was a 12.21 at 112. To me that is very impressive out of that little 3.5 with very little done. GM needs a boosted motor in the trucks lol. Here is the time slip from our race together.

That is what it would take for sure. His truck is equal to a 2LT Silverado and paid 32k for it. A 2019 6.2 10 speed is the closest tune only truck to that F150 and your talking about a 60k truck. I get it the average Joe a 5.3 Silverado will do everything they need it to do but from a performance aspect WTF GM!!!!

7.8's at 90 ain't playin' especially with a high 1.8's 60'. I love GM but I'm sick of it as well. You can buy a factory warranty 5.0 with 2.9 Whipple from the dealer that runs in the 11's now. GM wake the **** up!!!!!

Yeah he spun a little as well. His best 60ft. is a 1.73 out of that truck. Which was with his other wheels that are 22s with 305s. That day he had the stock wheels and tires on which were 20s with 275s.

I forgot you have an F150 now! This might be my next project. See what that 2.3 EcoBoost with the 10 speed is capable of. Stock it is 310hp and 350tq.

everything ford makes with the 10sp is ridiculously quick

how on earth does ford and GM develop a transmission together, and then the ford's is way better

slap a whipple on an rcsb 5.0 and you're $35k out the door and you have a perfectly capable work truck that runs 10's, 10's!

Just remember,

That 3.5 Eco is a twin-turbo motor. Not a single turbo.

what does that have to do with anything?

the only difference between single and twin turbo is pipe routing
