you love the stock sleeper look, already have a tuner, Airaid MIT, need a daily driver, and like it quiet. but would like some more power. You don't really want to void the warranty. Yes i know tuner but that can be set back to stock
What would you do?
4.10 gears?
Borla Touring 3.5" Exhaust?
buy lots of guns and ammo?
Diablo intune from Lew w/Custom tunes instead of the SCT tuner you got?
$4500 is a gray area. our dept settled our contract and this is how much back pay I expect to get a check for in october

Pay down the truck with it.... unless of course you paid cash for it out of your chequing account.
Otherwise since you are worried about GM's ever so awesome joke of a warranty.... Gas.

3 options.
1. Warranty option - Guns & Ammo & Gas & exhaust - Hopefully keeping your warranty (Unless you use the guns and ammo to shoot the truck)
2. VVT Cam & springs, Exhaust of your choice, custom tune, you already got 3.73s most likely so i would leave the gears unless your looking to do more in the future. - This option would still allow for a gun or two and some ammo
3. S/C or turbo (KB or trick) - $4500 would be in the price range, of course tune is required and such but you could get close to a complete setup if you play your cards right.
Personally as a cheap *** (meaning i would like things fixed under warranty), you have to decide if you would rather have the warranty or the performance and whichever you chose you are stuck with (within reason). I personaly went the route of performance (not done yet) and I realized that even if i could get a dealer to warrant a drivetrain issue with my simple mods I am probably at more fault that GM at this point so I accepted that if it breaks it will likely be me paying for the fix and therefore I will continue the mods and maybe if something breaks I will be lucky and it will be covered under the bumper to bumper and not the powertrain (my side mirror motors will burn out lol).
Just some ideas but you really gotta choose performance or warranty and be careful when you flirt with that warranty line. Its easy to cross and once you do, I'm not sure you could go back.

If you have to ask yourself if you need to buy Guns and Ammo,, either you have wayy too much or your under prepared...
Guns and Ammo,, they will keep their value way more than the truck and you might need them soon.........
but thats just my thinking. carry on
