If you do go higher and looser, you'll need a new separator plate with different hole sizes.

Loose converters take more pedal to get going.

Call FTI and talk to Dalton. Tell him Jessie sent ya. Lol.
My previous Tahoe had a loose stall. I actually liked having to give it gas to get going. My Tahoe now, barely touch the gas and it goes like a bat outta hell. Some times its pretty scary.

Which plate would I need? Do you happen to have a part # or one in particular?

Haha, I just sent them a message before reading this. When they respond I'll mention you. Thanks
I had spoken with them in the past and they were pretty cool. Offered me more than I was expecting. I wish I new about this years ago, I'd be enjoying my Tahoe a lot more and my wife would be able to drive it.
Thanks

I don't have a part number handy. I have a local trans guy I deal with.

My plate is the one with the integrated screens. I believe this supersedes most if not all of the previous plates. Verify.

Hey madmann,

Ok, I can ask FTI or Yank.

I heard back from FTI today. He assumed I was cammed. I'll see what he says tomorrow.

I heard back again.

He thought it was my trans, and wanted to get in touch with my builder. But, trans is stock besides converter and shift kit jr.

He mentioned it sounds like its trying to lock up the converter clutch.

How is that possible from a dead stop?

Tuning.

Back in the day, you could lock the converter in a 700r4 while in 1st with a switch on the dash.

Gotcha.

If it were in the tuning wouldn't it happen all the time?
This is so random, how it doesn't happen all the time. When it does, its pretty unnerving.
