Yank 3600 driveability???
I just ordered the yank SS 3600 stall for my 5.3 GMC Sierra 2012. The truck has LT's 4.10 gears and a tune. How is the driveability of the truck going to be like with the yank SS 3600 on it? The truck also already has a true kool 40k transmission cooler. In your truck it would be fine. In something heavier I wouldn't want to deal with it.

In my xcab (gmt800), I love my 3800. It's an fti stall, single disk.

My Yank 3400 is super tight in my setup. Been planning on send g it back to have it loosened up. I think you will like it for sure. Mine acts great around town, really nice to drive, just a bit tight

A "loose"converter (very high stall speed) will suffer from excessive slippage and slow ET's. A converter that is too "tight" (low stall speed) will have poor 60 ft. times and 1/4 mile ET's, because the car is launching with the engine below its torque peak. |

1. What stall would be ideal for an SUV? Specifically 07 Tahoe PPV which weighs in at a hefty 5200lbs +. I was thinking 3400. My previous 99 Tahoe had a Yank 3200 and was great. That weighed about 4600lbs and also had a built trans it. I have an FTI 2800/3000 in it now. Reading about loose and tight in regards to converters a bulb just went off in my head in regards to mine. It lunges like crazy with very light throttle, not all the time but more often than not. To a point where my wife wont drive it. And almost hitting people in front of me at stop lights, parking lots. I'm kinda used to it now, its been going on for so long. I went over it with my tuner but, he couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. 2. Could this be that the converter is too tight? |

I heard back again.
He thought it was my trans, and wanted to get in touch with my builder. But, trans is stock besides converter and shift kit jr. He mentioned it sounds like its trying to lock up the converter clutch. How is that possible from a dead stop? |
