no build, i want a stock motor to throw under the bench for when I sell or demod my truck. Id hate to trade in my truck with a mildly built motor.

A Sub 100k Miles (Able to be Proven) Gen4 5.3 Longblock generally sell for $1200 in my area.
All Gen4 5.3's come with 243/799 heads as well. Aluminum Block 5.3s are more in demand from buyers, but still sell at the same price. A complete engine with Intake, Throttle Body, Injectors, Fuel Rails, Exhaust Manifolds, Water Pump, except A/C Compressor, Power Steering Pump, Altenator and Bracket sell for up to $1800. That is about top dollar around my area unless it has super low miles, such as 35,000 or something, then I have seen them go for as much as $3,000. Shortblocks go for $600-800.
