What did GM do about NVG 246 transfer case pump rub?
 

Does case rub even apply to my transfer case? Was pump rub in transfer cases ever addressed by GM if so when. The reason I ask is I am working on a 2007 Avalanche 4WD and hope that it was caught and modified by then. I have the motor out for AFM delete and front differential out for seal replacement. Sure the way it sits now it will never be easier to remove transfer case too but if it has been remedied by the factory why tear it apart to find out. Repair for pump rub can be found on ebay Adapt-A-Case NP246 NP261 NP263 Transfer Case Oil Pump Saver Plate BRNY 1999-2006 other sellers list it as going to 2007.

For NNBS Trucks, 2007.5-2013, GM switched from New Process Transfer Cases to Borg Warner. So pump rub is not an issue. You should have a MP 3023 Transfer Case (RPO - NQH) for Non AWD Vehicles.

Magna Powertrain is Borg-Warner?

Been having nothing but bad luck, lately guess mine is early 2007 with the pump rub issue BLAAAHHH. Thanks for the info.

There is an ID Tag riveted on the rear side of the transfer case, which model does it list on there?
If it is an MP 3023, I have never heard of one single issues with any case rub on these transfer cases, they are pretty bullet proof to a certain extent.
