Default VMAX in a extended cab short bed?

I rarely run across a NNBS VMAX on the highway or see them on dealer lots but I've never seen one in an extended cab. I figured they were availible since I was on the GMC website last night and built one with the extended cab. It even said they were availible with the short bed from the crew cab. Anybody ever see a VMAX extended cab crew bed setup?

yep, i've seen one (extended cab crew cab bed) and ridden in it, they have lots of potential, with a tune, no cats and borla muffler, it ran a 14.3 on 20's.

I didn't realize the 03-06's came with that option. I saw an 07 extened cab short bed with a 5.3 on the lot the other day. Only thing I didn't like was the 17" wheels on it. they just look to small now. Put some factory 20s on it and lower the back and I think it would look real nice.

This was my reason of asking this question. I wanted my next truck to be set up like that but add a nice set of headers to it. Not too many mods but still decently quick. Did you find the truck looked funny with the bed or did the whole look of it flow pretty good?

1 more question, do these trucks come stock with 3.73's?

i have the extended cab standard bed (6') with the vmax. 3.73 and 4.10 gears are the options for this setup, BUT if you get the factory 20" wheels you also get the sport Z60 suspension and 4.10 is Not an option with the wheel and suspension package . i cant remember for sure now because its been awhile since i ordered mine but there was something else that was odd like this when building a extended cab short bed(5'8"). i think you can get the vmax in that configuration, not sure tho.

Here's the catch, you can get the ex-cab short bed with the Vmax engine, but not with the Max tow package. So you are stuck with drum brakes on the ECShortbed. The standard size bed has the tow package with disc brakes available. GM is sometimes.
