A lot lotions dry your skin out so you use more too. Remember that, its a fact. Try Cetaphil, its good stuff.

Yup the slick white goop that stinks that works best without water. Just wipe away excess with towels after cleaning the leather. For lotion use non perfume type and if you can find some with shea butter its best. Just work it in slow and evenly you'll see results almost instantly and if your brain works anything like mine? You'll be so pleased with the results halfway through you'll think "Why didnt I think of this before? So simple its just skin LOL"

For waterproofing leather if you can find it "real" North American made mink oil is unparalleled. Its thick almost like crisco lard and you have to really work it into the leather and then let it cure for a few days inside in some heat works best.

Im a former hardcore high miling sledder and my suits used to get a mink oil treatment once a year and I never got a wet *** once. Im sure it would also work well for seats but it stays a bit oily for a while and can pull dye out so be careful. Just thought id mention it while we were talking leather I have 15 year old full grain leather coats that still look like new because of mink oil.
