i guess im the "lucky" few....i have a cammed 6.2 in front of my 53k mile 60e and im run 4:10s.
Truckshop, Skeet is running a performabuilt Level 2 (w.o converter is 1800ish, with comverter is 2600ish) i you was going to buy that FLT for 2800 plus shipping id look into a pb lvl 2 with a converter.
i was going to go 80e until you realize the 80e has a CRAP OD and me being on 4:10s id be at 2500+rpm at 70. right now im running 2200ish at 75 and still get 19mpg on the highway and 15ish in town.

i guess you can say im the guy thats not willing to swap in a 80e bc this is my DD/Family ride so i do need some kind of gas mileage.

decide what you want to do as far as HP then decide what money you have to spend on a tranny upgrade. i wish i would have waited to buy an 09 just for the 6spd. i would look into swapping the 6spd if you dont abuse your truck a lot and your not wanting to run a 4:10+ gear

In this case go 4l80e for sure. Thats alot of weight and alot of power to the wheels.

Truckshop has 420rwhp, skeet has 480ish both on pb lvl2s.

i cant see myself swapping to an 80e bc i dont race my truck alot, nor do i abuse my truck. i dont go from OD to 2nd or 1st i pull it into gear vs makin it downshift.

it shouldnt be much different, your still going from a 60e to an 80e....

going to need a custom crossmember, custom drive shaft, call speartech and they can make you a harness adapter or you can repin your plug, your going to need a 4l80e converter.. (tell them you want it to fit a 60e flex plate) or get a 80e flexplate and tell them you want it for that.... gonna have to find someone to do a 4l80e segment swap in your PCM and some custom cooler lines..

might as well throw a shift kit in tooo
