Ahh...good ol' Matt.
The only wiring I touched was to add the inline socket adapters for the tail lights. And the reason for that....IPCW used the Tahoe & Suburban as a template for the lights. The bowties use 3057 bulbs, while professional grade uses 7443's.
That forum thread has a really nice write-up on the Escalade tails. I briefly considered those - making the whole rear end Escaladish - but the price of the lights and the wiring concerns easily led me to the aftermarket.

Quick update - got the parts back from being painted.
Just another shout-out to Steve Tolentino down in LA. Not only is he an artist with a paint sprayer, he is incredibly meticulous about packaging and shipping. The pieces were sprayed last week, and he left them to cure for five days before wrapping up everything for shipment.

And a few moments ago (sorry for the 10x7 size - Flickr drives me nuts sometimes with their size offerings)...

seems this vendor hasn't had the greatest results with the ipcw taillights.
of course I like the look of yours and was thinking of a black set for my black sub.

their disclaimer is kinda funny.
how have your results been so-far?

Sorry for the delay in response...I haven't had much quality time behind the PC in a while.
That link is hilarious. My experience has been really good. In fact, IPCW went well out of there way to help me with a problem on my '05 that was actually caused by a Recon product. Now, IMHO, if you want to talk about garbage...
Anyway, the only issue I had was with the socket adapters, and it's hard to fully blame IPCW over that one. Why the General chose to use different sockets for Bowties and Professional Grade is beyond me. Sure, IPCW could've done a bit more research, and the socket adapters aren't the most elegant solution, but I understand the tooling, marketing, and warehousing expense involved in stocking different lights that are in all other ways identical. The fact that they offer the socket adapters - along with good documentation on how to connect them - is a viable solution in my book.
Compared to other brands, I've found the quality of IPCW products to be absolutely second-to-none. Their lights are well sealed, preventing condensation and hazing. The lenses are durable against U/V rays. Physical fitment is perfect. And their electronics are much higher quality than any other brand I've seen. The LED tails from my '05 went to a good home (an '02) and are working great to this day. I've had my current ones since November with no issues. I'm surprised to see that a vendor has had that many problems and would go so far as to whine about it on their website. I know that my vendor (JP Customs) thinks very highly of IPCW and wouldn't hinge their reputation on bad stuff. Too funny.
BTW...here are a coupla' pics after installed the parts and detailed both trucks...
