Default Stock driveshaft

About to regear the truck finally...

With a 4.10, when is everyone having problems with the stock aluminum shafts? If it's over 100 I'm not concerned with it but I don't want to have to pucker every time I pass someone.

Mines a 4spd crew with the longer aluminum shaft... Thus the reason for my concern.

I had to upgrade mint to a 2pc. It started the death wobble at 78mph but balanced back out around 85 to 90mph. It had 33in tires at that time

I ran 4:11s on my stock one with 275/55/20s for a long time. Then finally upgraded to a gmt800 2 peice for about 100-200 total i think.

Was the ECSB steel 2pc shaft pretty much a drop in deal minus putting in a x member for the carrier?

Yes sir, very simple. I set my front shaft to the trans, then just set the rear 2 u-joints vs trying to dial in all 3 u-joints.

You can either make a bracket to come off the center support (i did that) or make a full crossmember all the way across the frame like the oem brackets.

Spicer makes a 3r to 1350 u-joint now, vs the junk conversion joints at the part store.

What is the length on a CCSB driveshaft? A buddy of mine has a 2500 900 series suburban and that has a 1 piece steel driveshaft and itlooks like those can be ordered online for $250-350. Not sure what the length would work on, i saw it said 68 1/4"
