I didn't enjoy my 3k stall I drive my truck every day and tow a few times a year. After I destroyed it I went with a stock trailblazer converter. I can foot brake 2500rpm and it ACTUALLY drives stock

Too bad I didn't get someone of this feedback before I bought and installed it.... The only people that showed up were the "you'll love it" and "just do it!".

The 2600 stall in my ccsb ACTUALLY feels like stock until I really get on the throttle hard. CMS tuned it after I told them what my expectations were...and they delivered just as described. Maybe once you go past a 3000 stall it feels like dog poo for DD duties? I wished I went 3000 off the bat but maybe the 2600 was right on. IDK

I read and didn't comment as its an older truck but my 05 is the same way. Circle D 3000... that actually flashes and brake torques to like 3600... yeah it's not at all like stock. Well it would be like stock if your tranny is slipping bad lol. It's in there and can probably stay but I wouldn't tow much of anything with this setup if there is any amount of stop and go involved!

I wouldn't say it's dog poo... Just looser than expected.

I just cant see trying to live with it and try to be happy. If it was in my truck I would definitely have it tightened.

I had it installed in my 4x4 6 speed. Converter cost $600 shipped to me. Regular rate at this shop was $600 to install but I paid $400 since they were already doing a bunch of other work that made the installation a little easier.

Truth. As advised, I got my exhaust changed which didn't entirely remove the rasp but did help quite a bit. Added back in the 3rd cat from the 5.3 y-pipe into the 6.2 factory catback with the resonator. Still a little rasp at 3000rpm under load but not nearly as bad as before. And the race car smell is 90% gone, which is a big thing for the family.

But best of all, Area47 rode with me and tuned me up, adjusting lock speed and shift speeds, and it truly is much much better than I previously described. Due to the sooner lockup at lower speed, it does act more "like stock" and is way better in low speed neighborhood cruising so it doesn't have to stall up and rasp to go 20-30 mph. I am liking this much better now and am looking forward to more time with it, only been 1 day of daily since the retune.

Thanks Area47!!
