Snow Performance Methanol Injection Installation
 

I just finished the installation of a Methanol Injection kit by Snow Performance on my truck. It is a 2007 Silverado NBS, 5.3 N/A, cammed, full bolts ons, custom cylinder heads. The kit I chose is part number 20012. The control unit uses the MAF sensor signal to activate the methanol pump. There are 2 adjustments on the controller to set when the pump will come on and at what rate. I have been experimenting with different on times under different driving conditions to see how it feels. I am very happy with the performance so far. Later next week I am going back to see Justin and we will put it on the dyno for another tune. Overall it is a very simple installation. Here are some pictures of the install.

I upgraded to the large reservoir. It fits perfect on the battery tray in the left front.

Under the battery tray is a bracket, this was the perfect place to mount the pump. It is hidden and looks clean.

I installed the injector very close to the throttle plate. I tapped the Volant intake and threaded in the injector.
The injector flows 375 ml/min.

The control unit is a simple 4 wire hook up. Power, ground, power to pump and MAF signal. I mounted it to the left front fender.

I tapped into the MAF signal wire at the PCM.

Next I tapped into switched ignition power for the controller. I went from the bottom of the fuse box so all the wires are hidden.

I covered the red tubing and ran it up with the engine harness.

The last addition I did was a green led mounted on the instrument cluster bezel. It comes on when the pump is activated.

dude what is the water cross over set up? thats so cool looking! anyways, thats a cool looking motor. wheres the truck pics? ;)

Motor looks real good. Curious to see gains being na. Are they the kurt urban crossover pieces?

I got the adapters from Kurt Urban performance. I plumbed into all 4 corners and ran 2 hoses to the radiator.

X-3 .. I've always wanted a meth on my H/C . N/A engine..

Hmmm Meth on N/A eh? Interesting Im subscribing for results. Please show with meth and without for us popcorn munchers

Ever any results using meth on a N/A engine besides 10%-15% power increase and cooler temps..... Looking at the Snow Performance Stage 3 MPG-MAX Kit.

Thought about this install more than once. Get us some results. What kinda price did it run ya?
