Default Seat Worn Out

So the drivers seat in my 2008 Sierra is pretty worn out. The fabric has a few holes in it, and the foam has collapsed to the point that I can feel a steel bar or something in my lower back.

What are my options besides calling the local wrecking yards? Are there any reasonable aftermarket options? Either "rebuilding" them or aftermarket seats?

Thanks guys!

Someone has a build thread on here and he replaced his seat cushion with an aftermarket one, I'll see if I can find it

You can buy the OEM foam on line such as ebay. Fabric covers are hard to come but Some times you can find some take off fabric cover's though.

Search Ebay.

Also consider hitting up a junk yard and robbing the passenger foam. Unless something changed 800 to 900, foams are the same left to rigjt

but the foam is the same, left to right isnt it? Unless I am thoroughly confused, we swapped seat foams when we did seat heaters in a 2002 Yukon. I dont think we even had to cut the slit for the lower belt pass through because it was already there.

No, the foams are different and had separate part numbers. They are no longer showing availibe from GM so I can't even find part numbers.

I know I have a new 99-02 driver side foam at my house. I never installed it before I sold the truck.

If you want to sell it, PM me, I’d be interested in purchasing.

Also so sorry to all those who google this. I was clearly mistaken about foam swapping.
