Question for you dropped guys

I've got the mcg 4/7 drop on my truck. 4" spindles in front and flip kit in the back. After putting on about 18k miles on the drop my ball joints went out. Took it to the stealership and they told me that it was because of the drop and that they cant waranty it. It chewed up my tires too. So I went and had the ball joints replaced, realigned, and new tires put on. I've put about another 10k miles on the truck and the front end is starting to rattle again. I'm pissed. I'm about to rip this drop off and throw it in the trash. Is anybody else having a similar problem??? Please help!!!

Not that it really applies but ive heard the same thing happening to our trucks with 35'' tires or larger?

after seeing this issue and brakes squeaking and the 6.0's having a problem i wonder how well these trucks will compare to the older chevy trucks :engarde:

To be honest, if I could go back in time, I would have never stepped out of my 03 ss silvy.

I work for GM and Ive notice that these trucks dont handle suspension mods very well. Theres a company that even makes stronger front end parts for the GMT 900s that are lifted.

If the ball joints are operating out of their range of motion a couple cycles will hurt them. I would contact the company making the drop and ask if they offer anything to correct the ball joint angles.

I did the same drop kit on mine and it has been doing well.
Are you saying that you did a 4" drop in the front with Just the spindels?
I went with the spring 2" and spindel 2" combo for a total of 4".
The only thing I dont like about it is that it rides to soft in the front.
I ordered a set of drop shocks for it ,so I am hopeing this will take caer of that issue. Otherwise the alignement is dead on.

Yea it was the kit with just the 4" spindles. How hard is it to change out suspensions? I'm gonna go back to stock height, just wondering if its something I can do in the driveway or have pros do it...
